Michelle Collins Obituary
News Death Notice
COLLINS, Michelle K. 59, of Springfield, died Sunday afternoon, November 27, 2011 in Springfield Regional Medical Center. She was born in Springfield on October 29, 1952, the daughter of the late William T. and Della May (Duckworth) Collins. Michelle loved attending services and bible study at Freedom Road Ministries and was an ardent supporter of Alcoholics Anonymous. She is survived by three children, Cecil Lanham Jr., Daniel Lanham Sr., and Rita McClure; three sisters, her twin Patricia Fowler, Paula Johnson, and Charity Sliger; four brothers, Butch Collins, Tracy Collins, William Arnold, and Leonard Arnold; sixteen grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Marcus Lanham. A service to celebrate Michelle's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Freedom Road Ministries, 1100 Sunset Ave. The LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME is serving the family. Michelle loved worshiping with us at Freedom Road. She wasn't there but a few months but she made a huge impact. We will miss her but we will see her again in Heaven

Rita, your mom will be greatly missed. I will always think of her sitting in front of me at church(GSOC) and us copying scriptures as Pastor Marv was calling them out trying to keep up. Know that your mom is in a better place and I know your hurting. Rita I know that you know GOD turn to him and you will find peace. I am truly sorry to hear of Michelle's passing. These last few years, Michelle found a deep love for her LORD and Savior, which makes her passing less painful...she is in the best of hands now. I would have to say my foundest memory of Michelle would of been two years ago at the Women of Faith convention. This was Michelle's first year being in attendance, and you could tell. she was as happy as a lark. This is always a time in which the women bond as well, and Michelle soaked it all up! Your JOFF family will truly miss you sister!
