Dear Debbie, Carla and Family,
Sorry to hear of the passing of Mildred. There will be a large void in our lives now with her gone. I have known Mildred all of my life, she always called me her little "Buddy". My Mother met Mildred in 1943, when she migrated North from Tennessee to seek work. She met Mildred at the Crowell-Collier Publishing Company. I joined Springfield Missionary Baptist Church in 1971 and Mildred and Mother were just behind me. I would pick Mildred up every Sunday to go to Church before Mom, Dad and Arnold joined. Mildred is in a much better place there then she was here. She was a kind hearted, good, loving, friend, person and most of all a devoted Christian. Mildred will live on in our Memories forever here on Earth. Mildred was a wonderful Cook and I'll always remember the food and sweets she would cook and bake and bring to the house and church. But most of all the big SMILE she always had on her face and the prayers and concerns she always had for other people and her Family. Mildred truly is another Angel in Heaven.

I have wonderful memories of Mildred and my Mother, Georgia Mills, laughing and telling their stories to all of us children. She was a positive influence on my life, and I loved her for it. She lives on in all of our wonderful memories of her, and we know she is in a better place now with her beloved Arnold in heaven with our Lord.

Grandma, now you are embraced in Gods arms and no more suffering. I will never forget all our good times as a child in your kitchen, holidays we spent together, and you giving me my first Barbie Doll, I know how much pleasure it gave you to see my eyes light up! I could go on and on but you and I know both know how much love we shared and how much you loved my family. You left behind a great Legacy.
