Pearl REYNOLDS Obituary
News Death Notice
REYNOLDS, Pearl Akers 87, of Springfield went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday December 3, 2013. She was born March 19, 1926 in Ulysses, Kentucky, the daughter of Walter and Lillian (Borders) Castle. Mrs. Reynolds enjoyed cooking and crocheting, and her family was her life. She had worked at Ridgewood Nursing Home, Lords Dress Shop, and she sold Avon. Survivors include daughter, Judy (Akers) Roth of Fairborn; grandchildren, Parrish Akers, Michelle "Missy" (Michael) Owens, Stephanie Husband, Robin (William) Good, Woodrow (Cindy) Akers, Judy (Dale) Coleman, Angelie Moore, and Ronald (Jessica) Akers II; 14 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Woodrow Akers and Melvin Reynolds; son, Ronald Charles Akers; her parents; and brother, Charles J. Castle. Visitation will be held from 5:00pm until 8:00pm Thursday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Friday in the funeral home, with Pastor Joe Dillard officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.

Pearl will be greatly missed! She was such a special part of my life, helping me by babysitting and caring for me when I had surgery. We lived across the street from her and I loved when she would call me to come and eat with her. Loved her spaghetti and cornbread. Every time I would stop to visit her, she always brightened my day! One of the most important part of my life was when she and Missy played a part of introducing me to my future husband. We have been together for 18 years now! Pearl was very much like a Grandma to me my parents and i lived right across the street from her and she babysat me many a night when i was very small. She will be remembered by her very unique laugh and her amazing fried apples she
treated my parents and i like one of her own kids. I am so sorry i wont be able to be there to pay my last respects.
