Family-Placed Obituary

LANDERS, Ralph P. 84, of Urbana, Ohio passed away Sunday, June 26, 2005 in Mercy Memorial Hospital, Urbana, Ohio. He was born in Champaign County on April 24, 1921 the son of Joseph and Caroline (Oelker) Landers. He served in the United States Army in World War II stationed in Liverpool England for four years. He later owned and operated Ralph Landers Machine Shop. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Urbana, Ohio. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Donna (Randall) Landers; two brothers, John and Robert, both of Urbana, Ohio as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Joseph of Florida and Frank of Urbana and a sister, Elizabeth Lyden of Urbana. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by the WALTER-SCHOEDINGER FUNERAL HOME, A Dignity Memorial Provider, 642 South Main Street, Urbana, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice in Ralph's memory.
