News Death Notice
HENRY, Rosetta 77 of Springfield, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday September 24, 2008. She was born May 30, 1931 in Springfield, Ohio the daughter of Willie Gilbert and Mattie Gilbert. Rosetta worked as a Nurses Aid at Bristol House in Springfield, Ohio from which she had retired. She leaves to cherish her memory her four daughters, Wanda Henry of Jacksonville, Fla. Connie Henry of Calif., Anetta Henry of Springfield, Ohio and Delores Gilbert (Kenny) Davis of Jacksonville, Fla. Five sons Steven L. Henry of Chillicothe, Ohio, Aundre Henry, Anthony Henry and Robert Gilbert all of Springfield, Ohio, Todd Jackson, Shawn Henry both of Columbus, Ohio. One sister Patricia Jones of Columbus, Ohio. A host of grandchildren, and great grandchildren a host of nieces and nephew, cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husbands Warner Henry and Frank Harris three sisters Lucille Warren, Delores Patterson and Bobby Ann Chaney two brothers Odell and Tommy Gilbert one granddaughter Dedra L. Henry. one grandson David L. Henry. Service for Rosetta Henry will be held, Monday September 29, 2008 at Porter-Qualls Funeral Home 823 S. Yellow Springs St. Springfield, Ohio. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until time of service which will be at 12 noon with Marcia A. Garrison M.A.M. Div. Chaplain For Community Mercy Hospice officiating. Family will receive friends at 515 W. Clack St. following service. Her body was entrusted to Porter-Qualls Funeral Home.

To Tiny and Family,
My sincere condolences go out to you and your family during the loss of your mother. I know this a difficult time in your life but know that God is able to comfort you during this hour and the days to come. I only met your mother a couple of times but I am certain that she meant the world to you as any mother does. It is always hard and often seems hopeles after the loss of someone so dear to your heart. There will always be a place in many hearts for Mrs. Rosetta for she has touched so many people over her life span. You could always count on her to keep it real and speak her mind no matter what! That will be my special memory of her and to all the loved ones she left behind, I know you will look into your own memory bank and hopefully dig out a memory of her that makes you smile and feel blessed to have had the pleasure of knowing such a wonderful person. To Cousin Rosetta's Family:
We were saddened to hear of the passing of Rosetta. She was truly a kind person and she was there for us when we needed help with our mother, and her cousin, Ruby Smith. In times like these, you must remember that God is sovereign. He can do what He wants, when He wants and where He wants. Acceptance of God's sovereignty is often very difficult. Nevertheless, you must trust Him. Remember to praise Him for your beloved mother and all that she will always mean to all of you.
May God's peace abide with you all.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, ""I welcome you.""
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......""My day was not in vain.""
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
