Family-Placed Obituary


NOLCOX, Sheldon L. 76, of Springfield, Ohio went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, December 4, 2005 in Community Hospital. He was born on November 13, 1929 in Princeton, Indiana to the union of Curtis and Marjorie E. (Walden) Nolcox. Mr. Nolcox was a faithful and dedicated member of New North Street AME Church and served as a Trustee. Mr. Nolcox retired from International after 46 years of service. He leaves to cherish his precious memories his wife of 55 years, Vivian "Maxine" (Lyles) Nolcox of Springfield, Ohio; one daughter, Colette J. Nolcox of Evansville, Indiana; one son. Travis E. (Terry) Nolcox of Princeton, Indiana; one sister, Curtistine L. Franklin of Cleveland, Ohio; two brothers, Waldo D. (Wordie) Nolcox of Springfield, Ohio and Hilary (Adell) Nolcox of Cincinnati, Ohio; three grandchildren, Shelley L. Manns of Columbus, Ohio , Aaron T. Nolcox of Evansville, Indiana and Lyle C. Nolcox of Princeton, Indiana; one great grandchild, Sean C. Manns of Columbus, Ohio and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 8, 2005 from 4-8 p.m. at New North Street AME Church, 901 South Center Street, Springfield, Ohio, with the family present at 6 p.m. Funeral service will be held Friday, December 9, 2005 at 1 p.m. at New North Street AME Church, with Rev. Christopher M. Ferguson, officiating. Burial will be held Saturday, December 10, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. in Sand Hill Cemetery, Princeton, Indiana. Arrangements provided by Porter-Qualls Funeral Home, Springfield Chapel.
