News Death Notice
CHATMAN, Susie L. 89, of Springfield, Ohio passed away June 16, 2014 in Essex of Springfield Care Center. She was born March 22, 1925 in Paris, Kentucky the daughter of Joseph and Daisy (Baker) Lewis. Her memory will be cherished by her three sons, Jeffrey (Rhonda) Chatman of Dayton, Ohio, Carl (Maureen) Hicks of Las Vegas, Nevada and Damon (Sonja) Williams of Springfield, Ohio; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Jaclyn, Nadia, Aliyah, Georginna and Isaiah Chatman of Los Angeles, California, Michelle and Megan Hicks of Las Vegas, Nevada; step-grandchildren, Aaron and Dominique Jones and Ariel Williams; very special friends from childhood, Patricia Newby and Betty Carter and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, George Chatman. A service of entombment will be held at 10:30 a.m. in Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum. Arrangements are provided by the Robert C. Henry Funeral Home.

Jeffrey, our dad's rode to Frigidaire together many, many years (Claude Page) I remember Bro. Chatman coming over to our garage with you in the car.Sis. Susie was genuine & sweet and I loved her sense of humor.. Our family sends prayers for your comfort & strength.

I am sorry to here of the passing of "Aunt Susie". (You know we dare not call an adult by their first name.) I have found memories of traveling with her and aunt Minerva. Whenever I saw her out and about we would always stop and catch each other up. A fine woman in my book. God's blessing to the family.
