William CAYLOR Obituary

News Death Notice

CAYLOR, William Bernard "Bill" 79, passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2012. Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday at Christ Chapel Bible Church. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Greenwood Funeral Home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Christ Chapel Bible Church Link Program, Fort Worth or Union Gospel Mission of Fort Worth. Bill was born Sept. 7, 1932, in Springfield, Ohio, to Aaron and Goldie Caylor. He attended Anderson College in Anderson, Ind. Bill married Shirley Jean Williams on June 20, 1953, in Amarillo. He proudly served his country as a Master Sergeant in the U. S. Air Force and retired after 20 plus years. Bill enjoyed playing golf and traveling. He was a member of Christ Chapel Bible Church, the American Legion, and the USGA. Bill loved the one true living God with all his heart, mind, soul and strength. He loved his family and friends with a determined loyalty and undying love. He was a patriot who was fiercely proud of his country and would gladly have given his life defending it. He was the best husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather we could have asked for. The example he set for others was beyond reproach and a shining standard admired by those who knew him best. He was a lover of sports but was especially fond of his Ohio State Buckeyes and was an avid supporter of the Texas Rangers. The family would like to thank Anne Alley, of Community Hospice, for her love, care and attention as well as doctors, John Burk and Steven Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and one sister. Survivors: Wife, Shirley Caylor; children, Randy and wife, Sharon, of Houston, Barry and wife, Belinda, of Arlington, and Tom and wife, Cathy, of Fort Worth; grandchildren, William and Christopher Caylor, Kristi Bowen, Nicole and Rubye Caylor, Dylan Mathis, Nathan Caylor and Kellie Scardino; great-grandchildren, Ethan and Samuel Caylor, Kyle and Kolt Tucker and Kassie Scardino; and many loving family and friends.
