Peterson, Albert P.
Albert P. Peterson of Falmouth MA, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2014 following a short illness. Born in Poughkeepsie, NY on July 12, 1914. He was married to the late Evelyn (Kapp) Peterson for 60 years until her death in 1998. They lived in Pelham, NY and New Rochelle, NY until 1985 when they moved to Stamford CT. He was predeceased by his brother Andrew.
Al was a World War II veteran, 1943 to 1945, serving with the Army in the 757th Field Artillery in the Philippines. He worked 35 years for General Baking Co. He was a trivia buff and loved doing crossword puzzles, listening to good piano music and being with family and friends. He celebrated his 100th birthday this past summer.
He is survived by his daughter Karen Peterson and dog "Marti" of Falmouth MA.
A visitation will be held from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 8th at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 2900 Summer Street, Stamford CT with a celebration of his life to follow. Burial will be at Beechwood Cemetery in New Rochelle, NY.
