Ann Joan Jablonski

ANN JOAN JABLONSKI a lifelong resident of Stamford , passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at Waveny Care Center in New Canaan . She was born in Stamford on January 24, 1915 to the late John and Maryanna (Dmochowska) Modzelewski. Mrs. Jablonski was a homemaker for most of her family life, and worked for 6 years as an assembler for Omega Engineering before her retirement in 1982. She mastered the art of crocheting and crafted beautiful pieces to give as gifts to her family and friends. She also loved to prepare stuffed cabbage, her favorite dish, for all to enjoy. She attended Holy Name of Jesus Church throughout her entire life, and graduated from Holy Name of Jesus School. She was also a proud member of the Polish National Alliance Society. Ann is survived by two daughters, Marion McConnon of Stamford, and Theresa Sirico of Petaluma, CA, a sister, Hedwig Kaslikowski of Carmichael, CA, a cherished granddaughter, Colleen McConnon and her partner Michael Stowe of Seymour, CT, and many nieces, grandnieces, nephews and grandnephews. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Adolph who passed away on June, 27, 2003. Ann will be sadly missed by her family and friends, and by all those who knew and loved her. The family welcomes all friends and relatives on Sunday, September 25th from 6pm to 8pm at Bosak Funeral Home & Cremation at 453 Shippan Avenue in Stamford . A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, September 26, 2011 at 11am at the Holy Name of Jesus Parish, 369 Washington Blvd , in Stamford . Interment will immediately follow at St. John Roman Catholic Cemetery in Darien , CT.
