Anna Terlecky Obituary

ANNA TERLECKY (NEE IVANIUK)

of Yonkers died on Sunday, November 4, 2007 at age 82.

Born on September 11, 1925 to Fedir and Maria (Matuszkewicz) Terlecky in the Ukraine, she has been a Yonkers resident for over 60 years.

On November 25, 1947 she married Michael Terlecky in Ellwagen, Germany; he died in 2001.

Mrs. Terlecky was a parishioner of St. Michaels Ukrainian Catholic Church; a member of the Providence Association and helped her husband run the food store in Hastings.

Mrs. Terlecky is survived by her 5 children; Msgr. John M. Terlecky of Stamford, CT. Peter W. Terlecky of Yonkers, Marika Terlecky of Newport, R.I., Irene Hreyo of Yorktown Heights and Christine Umbro of Danbury, CT. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren: Dawn Marie, Stacy, Peter, Melissa, Tanya, Christine, Michael and Matthew and 2 great grandchildren: Gary and Nicole and 3 Nieces and nephews in the Ukraine. She was predeceased by her son Raymond who died in 1987. A brother Ivan Ivaniuk and a sister Eudokia Dolyniak.

Visiting hours will be at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home, on Tuesday evening from 7-9 PM and Wednesday 2-4PM and 7-9PM. Parastas Service will be at 7:30PM on Wednesday. Divine Liturgy will be in St. Michaels Ukrainian Catholic Church on Thursday, November 8th at 10AM. Bishop Paul Chomnycky OSBM officiating and Bishop Basil Losten will serve as Homilist. Interment Holy Spirit Cemetery, Hamptonburgh, NY. Donations may be made to either Hospice Care of Westchester and Putnam, 540 White Plains Road, Suite 300, Tarrytown, NY 10591 or St. Andrew's Church at Holy Spirit Cemetery, 141 Sarah Wells Trail, Hamptonburgh, NY. Whalen & Ball, 168 Park Avenue, Yonkers, NY.
