Blanche Piorkowski Kulis Gaspar, age 85, of Stratford, widow of the late Stephen Kulis and Gilbert Gaspar, passed away on Thursday, February 7, 2013 in her home. Mrs. Gaspar, a retired clerk for Walgreen's in Darien, was born in Stamford, to the late Alexander and Feliska (Latos) Piorkowski, and had been a life long Stamford resident, before moving to Shelton and Stratford, 18 years ago. Blanche loved to bake, and also enjoyed crocheting, and doing puzzles, but most of all enjoyed being surrounded by her beloved family. Survivors include her devoted children Joann Santesiero and her husband Vito of Stamford, Sophie Buzzeo and her husband Pat of Stamford, Blanche Agostino of Stratford, Susan Kuhar and her husband Paul of Stamford, Richard Kulis and his wife Joann of Stamford, Deborah Chervinski of Greenwich, Kenneth Kulis and his wife Cathy of Stamford, Andrew Kulis of Stratford, and Dorothy Kulis and her companion Bill Voltolini of Seymour, a son-in-law Kenneth Morrell of Stamford, 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her beloved parents and husbands, she was pre-deceased by 2 sons Stephen Kulis II, and Stephen Kulis III, a daughter Nancy Morrell, 2 sons-in-law Frank Agostino, and Robert Chervinski, a sister Tess Alberts, and a brother Eugene Piorkowski. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 12th at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church 298 Second Hill Lane Stratford. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Monroe. Friends may call on Monday from 4-7 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford.
