Blossom Katz Obituary
July 11, 1923 - Dec. 24, 2020 Blossom Katz, 97, a longtime resident of Stamford, died on December 24, 2020 following a brief illness. Blossom was born in Chicago in 1923 and attended the University of Illinois from which she received both her Bachelors in 1944 and a Masters Degree in Chemistry with high honors in 1946. It was there that she met her husband of 62 years, Leon Katz, who predeceased her in 2010.
Following graduation, Leon and Blossom settled in New Jersey. Blossom was a devoted wife, mother and friend. In 1973, the family moved to Stamford. Blossom was very active with the Brandeis University National Womens' Committee branch in Stamford and served as the chapter president for a number of years.
Blossom is survived by her son Stanley and wife Elyse, her daughter Barbara and husband David and her daughter Nancy and husband Paul, along with grandchildren Jordan, Dylan Owen and wife Ara, Jeremy and wife Ayelet, Lauren, Jessica, Rachel and husband Badeel, Josh and partner Alex, as well as her great-grandson, Asher.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Blossom's memory to either the Brandeis University National Womens' Committee https://www.brandeis.edu/bnc/ or the Friends of the Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (via the CT Heritage Foundation)

We were blessed to get to know Blossom when she came out to Seattle for our Zeidman Family Reunion years ago. I had the chance to chat with her from time to time since. I was so sorry to see she had passed on Ancestry. Rest easy Blossom.
