Brian Murphy Obituary
Brian received a B.A. from Yale University and a law degree from Boston College. He was chairman and director of LaCross Milling Co., an upper Midwest grain milling company. Previously, he was president of B.D. Murphy & Co. and a managing director Dyson Kissner & Moran. He began his career at McKinnsey & Co.
He was a member of the Country Club of Darien, Johns Island Country Club in Florida, the Yale Club and a former member of the Windsor Club.
Brian is survived by his wife, Veronica H. Murphy of Vero Beach, FL; a daughter, Megan Murphy of London, England; a son, Brian D. Murphy, Jr. of Brooklyn, NY; a stepson, Bryan Everett of San Carlos, CA; a stepdaughter, Marlene Everett of Rowayton, CT. He is also survived by one grandson, Gavin Everett of San Carlos, CA. He is predeceased by one brother, Lawrence E. Murphy, Jr.
Friends may call at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien on Friday, September 2, 2005 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John R.C. Church, 1986 Post Road, Darien on Saturday, September 3, 2005 at 10:00 AM. Interment is private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 2550 U.S. Highway 1, North Brunswick, NJ 08902.

to the Murphy family,
I am saddened to hear of your loss.
As a former Stamford resident and member of the Springdale men's meeting, I know he greatly affected many people there.
Nick Genovese always spoke very highly of him as did many of his other friends there.
He will be greatly missed.
My prayers are with you all in this time.

Marlene has been one of my closet friends since I moved to New York four years ago. Although I have never met Brian, I have heard Marlene talk about how much he meant to her. And he must of have been a great man and influence on Marlene since I know her to be such a wonderful person.
