Bruce Michael Smith
Bruce was born and raised in Stamford and passed away, September 8, 2021. He was a graduate of St. Lukes School, Colgate University and received an MBA from the Wharton School of Business. Bruce was an owner of Syl-May Drugs, a family run pharmacy in Stamford for over 75 years. He was a life-long member of Congregation Agudath Sholom and a member of Rockrimmon Country Club for over 60 years. Bruce loved his family, traveling, and ballroom dancing. Bruce married Brenda Gochberg, of Stamford, whom he met as a teenager. They were married for over 58 years. He is survived by his wife Brenda, brother Edward Smith (Edith Samers) and his three children Melissa Smith (David Heller), Greg Smith (Amanda Lipitz) and Ruth Smith (Tim Meehan), along with his seven grandchildren: Alexa and Jessica Heller; Charlie Jane, Eliza and Asher Bennett Smith; Wren and June Meehan.

We are saddened to learn of Bruce´s passing. My two brothers and I worked at Syl-Mays as teenagers. We have many fond memories of working for Bruce, Eddie, Mr. Levin and Mr. Gabor. Condolences to the entire family. Rest In Peace Bruce.
