Florence Gatti Obituary

Florence M. Gatti
Florence M. Gatti, 74, of Stamford, CT, formerly of Proctor, VT, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 24, 2016 at Autumn Lake Healthcare at Norwalk, CT. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Dominic's Catholic Church Cemetery, 45 South Street, Proctor, VT.
Florence was born in Proctor on October 14, 1942 to Mario and Natalie Gatti. She graduated from Proctor High School and Rutland Business School. Florence worked at Dartmouth College for several years before moving to Connecticut, where she worked in the insurance industry in Hartford and Stamford until her retirement.
After retirement, PAWS Pet Animal Welfare Society in Norwalk, dedicated to the rescue and placement of homeless and abused pets, became one of her favorite places to be, and she so enjoyed her time there as a volunteer.
Florence is survived by her sister Carol Shea, her brothers Mario and Vincent (MaryJane) Gatti, her nephews Denis and Brendan (Elaine) Shea, her niece Heather (Scott) Slovis, her grandnephews Aziel (Danielle) and Tristan Shea and grandniece Morgan Shea. She is also survived by the best cousins and longtime friends. We are especially grateful to her good friend Diane Brunelle.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to PAWS, 504 Main Avenue, Norwalk, CT 06851 or www.pawsct.org in Florence's memory.
