Fred J. Maffei
Fred J. Maffei, age 79, of Danbury, Connecticut passed away on Monday, July 19, 2021, surrounded by his wife and family. Fred was born on March 8, 1942. Fred, son of the late Gesidio and Erminia Maffei, brother of the late Helen Maffei and Lucy Sciarretta. Survived by his wife Lucille (Melfi) Maffei of 52 years, Three sons; Phil Maffei (Stacy), Mark Maffei (Cenelia), Fred Maffei JR., 9 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
His favorite things were playing golf, boating, the New York Yankees, and being with his family. Nothing brought Fred more joy than having his family together, and many knew him as Pepa.
Also survived by numerous nephews, nieces and great-nephews, and nieces.
The family of Fred wants to thank the staff at Hancock Hall for the excellent care, attention, and love they provided to Fred during his time there.
Calling hours for Fred will be held Sunday, July 25, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, Connecticut 06810. A graveside service will occur Monday, July 26, 2021, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Peter Cemetery, 71 Lake Ave., Extension, Danbury, CT 06810.
