Halina Nosal, 90, of Stamford, CT passed away on August 3, 2021.
Halina was born December 17th, 1930 in Elizabeth, NJ to Dr. Lawrence and Helen Urban of Bayonne, NJ. She attended Catholic school there and then in 1952, graduated from Siena Heights University of Adrian, Michigan with a BS in Biology and a minor in French.
After a stint working for the Navy, she married Charles Nosal of Stamford, CT in 1960. She relocated to Stamford, and was blessed with two boys, Stephen and Mark. She worked as a bookkeeper and accountant for a variety of local companies, the last being Group W cable in Stamford.
Halina was known for her great sense of humor and a bit of dry wit. She loved books, crossword puzzles and flowers, especially her African violets. She was also a cat aficionado who both owned a cat for many years and collected all sorts of cat themed knickknacks. As a foodie, she loved to cook and go out to eat.
She is survived by her two children, Stephen and Mark, and her grandson, Christian.
She was predeceased by her husband, Charles, in 1992, and her brother, Joseph Urban.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Name Church in Stamford, CT on August 10 at 10:30 am followed by burial at Fairfield Memorial Cemetery in Stamford. Contact Bosak Funeral Home for additional information.
