Dear Friends,
Thank you for your kind words and thoughts. I have received many cards and wishes. Almost everyone mentioned that Nick was a gentle man. And he was a gentleman - as well as a gentle man - to the last. Fewer than 30 minutes before his tender heart finally stopped beating, he extended his hand to shake hands with the EMTs who had come to put him in the ambulance. I suspect that had he been able, he would have greeted the ER doctors as well. This is Nick in his garden - summer 2014. He was the best.

Sandy, Nick was such a unique soul. He loved to work with the kids at the Rehab Center. I remember his gentle way with them, helping them with artwork and praising their efforts. And how the kids would see him and yell "Hey Nick is here! Hi Nick!" He will be missed. With deep sympathy, Cheryl Case
