Peter Chochos Obituary
Born Dec. 11, 1932 in Skoura-Sparti, Greece, He was the son of the Late Leonidas and Ioanna Charkales Chochos. Peter was the co-owner of Hoyt- Bedford Barber Shop from 1971 until the present. He emigrated to the U.S. in 1958. Prior to coming to the U.S., he proudly served in the Greek Military Air Force. He will always be remembered as a kind and gentle man with a very generous heart.
Peter is survived by his loving wife of forty five years, Helen Lines Chochos, a daughter Joanne Chochos and a son Louis Chochos all of Norwalk. He is also survived by two brothers, Theodore Chochos of Ontario, Canada, Stavros Chochos of Sparti, Greece, two sisters Dina Chagaris of Norwalk and Evagelia Koulogianis of Stamford. Many sister-in-laws, brother-in laws, nieces and nephews also survive.
A Funeral service will be held at the Church of the Archangels, 1527 Bedford St. Stamford, on Thurs. Dec. 6, 2007 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Fr. George Poulos officiating. Interment will follow at Fairfield Memorial Park Cemetery, Oaklawn Ave. Stamford.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave. Stamford on Wed. Dec. 5, 2007 from 4-8 PM, with a prayer service at 7 PM conducted by Father Poulos.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Ladies Philoptochos Society (A Charity for the poor and the needy) c/o Church of the Archangels, 1527 Bedford St. Stamford, CT 06905. www.cognetta.com

peter used to cut my hair at the shop in stamford. when i heard of his shocking and unjustified passing, i was mortified and my heart sank. he was a good man, a very nice person who is now someone's guardian angel...
