Dear Katherine, Susan & Michelle
1st Anniversary of Dad's leaving to be with the Lord. Uncle Mark advised he saw your Dad at Stamford Hospital before he left us. Since he was Uncle Mark's Godfather - they laughed, hugged and cried. We were glad to hear Mark saw him and spent valuable time. Love you all -- can't believe he is gone a year. Know he is with Pop Bridge. Gramma 91 in May doing o.k. Love you

Dear Katherine, Susan and Michelle
Can't believe a year has almost passed since your Dad left to be with the Lord. Uncle Stuart and I did go to the cemetery - think of him all the time. He is at peace. Our love to you and your children.

Red was a great man who was very dedicated to his family. I haven't seen or spoken with Red for many years but fondly remember visiting him and his family when I was a child. Red was was one of the nicest men I have ever met.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you,

My father was a strong , quiet person deeply devoted to his wife, 3 children and 6 grandchildren. He came to America at age 16 and joined the National Guard because he loved being an American. Before I was married he taught me everything that builds a strong marriage: Love, Truth and Honesty. It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to a man that gave so much. Dad: We WILL see you again. Love, your daughter Katherine Ann.

To The Strumpf Family,
I was deeply saddened to hear of Red's passing. We worked at EBM together for many years and I always felt that Red was very a special and unique person. He was there to help whenever you had a problem, he was fascinated and unintimidated by innovations in his field, he was indefatigable and persistent when faced with a challenge, he was a man of many talents. He was kind, warm and friendly. He spoke often of his family with deep love and affection. He will be missed.
I extend my heartfelt sympathy to you all.

Red was such a gentleman and so interesting to talk with. I almost looked forward to having my old typewriter break down, so I could visit with Red. I will always remember his kind smile and gentle manner.

Strumpf family,
I've worked with Red for 10+ years at EBM. We had a lot in common, since we both worked for a computer company and a supermarket. We'd always swap stories about the jobs we'd held and the crazy people we'd come across. Red was always the first person to volunteer to help out on the job and I will surely miss his kindness and pleasant demeanor. He was a gentleman in every respect and you should be very proud of the person that he was and the legacy that he left. He will be sorely missed. God bless him and you.

Jane & Family,
I'm going to miss my typewriter buddy. I always consider him one of the last of the Mohicans. I have worked alongside of Redmond for many years and I can truly say that I was blessed to know him.
I loved listening to his stories about his family and trips to Maine. His eyes would brighten and he became full of life when he spoke of you.
On the flip side, I got a kick out of his computers at home….there was always something wrong, or needed to be upgraded; it kept him busy and happy, it reminded me of my dad, so we would chit-chat about it and then I would wait for the results of what was done, it seemed that he always had to add something or find some obscure driver…but that was Redmond.
I am going to miss my friend.
Jane, my heart goes out to you and the family; Let not your heart be troubled. Redmond is in the glory of God, and with that you will see him once again.

I worked with Red and am saddened to hear of his passing. I enjoyed our talks and even learned a little about parenting from him. His love for his family was heartwarming and certain. My prayers are with you at this time.

I am an old Stamford fellow, now living quite a distance away and always check the Stamford Advocate for obits of chums from the past. I was Reds platoon sargeant in Hq.& Hq. Battery, 2/192 FA Bn.Ct. NG. He was a good soldier for as long as I knew him and knowing him was my pleasure. He was a good radio section chief and did his job well. His familly should be proud for his service to the country. Bob Wallstrom, (SFC, CT NG.)

Dear Jane and family..My prayers are with you. I saw Red often while you and I were recovering in the Tandet Center, and once thereafter. Acquainted through WSTC years ago, Red and I always enjoyed our too infrequent meetings.
