Sandra Corello Obituary
Sandra Corello, a lifelong resident of Stamford, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, January 30, 2022, at the age of 73. She was born on December 8, 1948, in Stamford, to the late Carmine and Kathleen (Lewis) Corello.
Sandra graduated from Rippowam High School and worked several years in retail before becoming a daycare assistant for Lisa's Little Tots in Stamford. In her later years, she cared for her great-granddaughter, Ava DeSalvo. Sandra enjoyed cooking, crossword puzzles, old movies and she was an avid doll collector.
Sandra is survived by her brother, Dean Corello, two grandsons Joseph DeSalvo, his wife Lisa and daughter Ava, Michael Dombroski, a granddaughter Gabrielle Baldassare, and a son-in-law Michael Baldassare, all of Stamford, as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Sandra was predeceased by her loving daughter Gina DeSalvo, four brothers Carmine, John, Edward, Nicholas and a nephew Jason Corello.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 10:30 a.m., at the Church of St. Cecilia, 1184 Newfield Ave., in Stamford. Interment will be private and there will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Sandra's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
