Sandra M. Wood
October 20, 2022
Sandra M. Wood, age 86, formerly of Stamford, CT passed away on October 20, 2022. She was born Dec. 17, 1935, daughter of the late Michael and Josephine Obuchowski Zboyan. Sandra is survived by her son Jim Boyrer and his wife Christine of West Haven; her 5 grandchildren, T.J., Jeb, Luke, Shaun and Brooke; her brother Michael Zboyan of Norwalk; cousin Cynthia Ginter of Greenwich; and two nieces and a nephew. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister Rheata Graf.
Sandra was born and raised in Stamford, where she became a successful real estate agent. She loved to entertain, was a gourmet cook, loved the arts, enjoyed traveling and always treasured a good book. Sandra's journey took her to many destinations throughout her life, but her most favorite years were spent as a full time resident of Block Island, RI. There she would volunteer at the local library, the Chamber of Commerce, and was always a staple at the local farmers market selling her famous pies. Sandra also spent some time in Dallas, TX before returning home to Connecticut.
