Anna Mae Ricchiuti, 74, formerly of McAdoo, died Friday at River Street Manor, Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Hazleton, she was the daughter of the late John and Helen Wanuga.
Prior to retirement, she was last employed by Dial Corp., Hazleton.
She was an avid reader, enjoyed puzzles and had a love of animals.
Anna Mae lover her grandchildren, Holden and Katie. She enjoyed spending time with them and listening about what was going on in their lives. They were a never ending source of pride for her.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, was her husband, John Ricchiuti in 2016; a brother, Raymond Miller; a sister, Theresa Howley.
Surviving are daughters Jen Smith and husband, Jeff of Wilkes Barre; Jessica Ricchiuti of Emerson, New Jersey; grandchildren Holden and Katie Smith both of Wilkes Barre; sister, Mary Helen Durborow of Kelayres; a Godchild and niece, Jillian Hibbler; also several other nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Tuesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Joseph A. Moran Funeral Home, 229 W. 12th Street, Hazleton. Interment will be held privately, at the convenience of the family. The Stanley E. Anilosky Funeral Home, McAdoo, is assisting the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to causes important to Anna Mae. Her love of animals, especially dogs, provided her so much happiness. Please donate to a local animal shelter or rescue. Anna Mae is also a spinal cord injury survivor. Please donate to the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation to help find a cure for spinal injuries.
