Anthony Thomas Serafine, 59, passed away peacefully Tuesday at his home surrounded by his family after an incredibly courageous battle with cancer.
Born Feb. 12, 1965, in Hazleton, he was the son of the late Ernest and Anne Marie (Baratta) Serafine.
Anthony was a 1984 graduate of Hazleton High School. For many years, he was employed at Brandywine School District as a supervisor of buildings and grounds.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ernie Serafine; and nephew, Robbie Terracino.
Anthony leaves behind his loving and devoted daughters, Tonilynn Serafine and partner, Charlie Karchner; Tori Serafine and fiancé, Christian Ritsick; sister, Denise Terracino and husband, Robert "Terry"; brother, Jamie Serafine; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Queen of Heaven Parish at Our Lady of Grace Church, Hazleton.
Burial will be held privately following the Mass in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Joseph B. Conahan Funeral Home Inc., 532 N. Vine St., Hazleton.
