Arthur Drevenak

Arthur Drevenak, 92, of Drums passed away peacefully Tuesday evening at Fritzingertown Senior Living Community, Drums, following a brief illness.

Born in Hazleton on July 11, 1931, he was the son of the late John and Laura Noss Drevenak and lived most of his life in Drums.

Arthur was first a carpenter in business with his father and brother. Later, Arthur and his brother owned several woodworking businesses. Finally, Arthur finished his working career as a van driver for Fritzingertown Senior Living Community, taking patients to appointments before becoming a resident there himself. He served his country in the U.S. Naval Reserves. He was a member of the Lions Club. He enjoyed flying, as he owned his own private plane, and enjoyed metal detecting, hunting and pitching horseshoes.

He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by his loving wife, the former Ruth Unger; a son, Robert Drevenak; brothers, Elmer and John Drevenak Jr.; and a sister, Martha Jane "Susie" Gleeson.

Surviving are a daughter, Daphne Repanshek and her husband, Brian, Red Lion; two grandchildren, Vanesa and Dustin Repanshek; and many nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (East), 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
