Betty J. Farleigh of Drums passed away Sunday evening in Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, following a brief illness.
Born in Bangor, she was the daughter of the late Morris and Francis (Vogel) Felker and spent the past 34 years in Drums after moving from Connecticut.
Betty was a loving wife, mother and homemaker. She was a member of St. Paul's Methodist Church, Drums. Betty enjoyed spending her time gardening and taking care of her yard.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her loving husband, Douglas Farleigh, on Dec. 24, 2002; and a sister, Shirley Matlock.
Surviving are two children, Dr. Brian Farleigh and his wife, Ellen, Milnesville; and Sheryl Rader and her husband, Curtis Rader, Pen Argyl; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held with a memorial service at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Drums. Interment will take place privately at the convenience of the family.
