Charles Balukonis Obituary
He was born in Hazleton, the son of the late Adam and Helen (Webbles) Balukonis.
Charlie was a member of the former Ss. Peter & Paul's Lithuanian Roman Catholic Church, Hazleton, and a current member of Holy Name of Jesus Parish at the Church of the Transfiguration, West Hazleton.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was also a member of the former Beaver Meadows American Legion Post 383, and the Shenandoah Rod and Gun Club.
Preceding him in death in addition to his parents was his wife, the former Veronica (Ramaviglia) Balukonis, in 2018; and two brothers, Richard and Matthew.
Surviving are his daughters, Cindy Bradley and husband, Dale, West Hazleton; one grandson, Sean Bradley, Hollars Hill; one great-grandson, Logan J. Bradley; one brother, Adam Balukonis Jr., Hazleton; and two sisters, Ann Marie Holly, Freeland; and Marian Piskorick, Hazleton. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A private Mass of Christian Burial for family members only as directed by the Diocese of Scranton will be celebrated in Holy Name of Jesus Parish at the Church of the Transfiguration at the convenience of the family.
Internment with the Rite of Committal will be held in Calvary Cemetery, Drums.
Relatives and friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Frank J. Bonin Funeral Home Inc., 542 N. Wyoming St., Hazleton.
