Christopher Robert John Mumie, 36, of Sugarloaf Twp., passed away Jan. 30.
Born in Berwick on June 8, 1985, he was the son of Stacy J. (Yeager) Perez and her husband, Jose, Sugarloaf Twp.; and father, Christopher Bartholomew Mumie, Freeland; and spent most of his life in Sugarloaf Twp.
Christopher graduated with honors from Hazleton Area High School in 2003. He was the proprietor of Robert's Lawn Care, Nuremberg; and worked for Michael's Distribution, Humbolt; and Evergreen Raceway on weekends in the summer. He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Nuremberg. Christopher loved the outdoors, paintball, hunting, fishing and playing video games. He adored children and was a proud foster parent.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Robert Yeager; and uncle Carl Yeager.
Surviving in addition to his parents are three children, Gabriela Weis, Noah and Meadow; brother, Kurt Thomas Mumie, Sugarloaf Twp.; sister, Nadine Marie Yeager, Sugarloaf Twp.; half-brothers, Justin and Zach Mumie and Robert Dotter, all of Freeland; maternal grandmother, Kathleen Yeager, Easley, S.C.; paternal grandmother, Joann Mumie, Hazleton; companion, Sherry Waldron, Nuremberg; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (West), 1265 Rock Glen Road, Rock Glen. Friends may call at the funeral home at 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
Memorial donations may be made to Brandon's Forever Home, 187 N. Church St., Hazleton, PA 18201.
