Clyde Warner Obituary

Clyde N. Warner Sr., 80, of Jeddo, passed away Saturday at Abington Manor, South Abington Twp.

Born in Hazleton, he was the son of the late Woodrow and Helen (O'Donnell) Warner and a lifelong resident of Jeddo. Clyde was a Vietnam War veteran, having served in the artillery division of the U. S. Army, and later served as an electronics supervisor at the Tobyhanna Army Depot. Upon his retirement, Clyde became a part-time driver for the Luzerne County Transportation Authority.

He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, yard work and ATVs. He was exceptionally handy and skilled at woodworking, constantly coming up with new projects. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with family and sharing the love of his favorite things with his grandchildren. Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were his wife, Betty, who died in 2021, and to whom he was married 55 years; and a sister, Nancy.

Surviving are sons, Clyde Warner Jr. and wife, Susan; and Wayne Warner; grandchildren, Abigail, Clara, Madison and Hunter Warner; and sisters, Judy and Carol.

Funeral services and burial will be held at a later date.

McHugh-Wilczek Funeral Home, 249 Centre St., Freeland, is in charge of arrangements.
