Emily G. Wersinger, 83, of Pardeesvile passed away Saturday evening at the Manor at St. Luke Village, Hazleton.
Born in Coopersburg, she was the daughter of the late John and Flora (Koch) Thomas, and was of the Protestant faith.
Prior to retiring, she was employed in the garment industry at McAdoo Mfg. and Sportscraft.
Emily was a puzzle enthusiast. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and sister.
Preceding her in death were her son, Eugene Wersinger; sisters, Hilda Campbell, Barbara Stoze, Betty Bittner and infant, Joyce; and brothers, Charles, John, Paul, Donald, Kenneth and Willard Thomas.
Surviving are her daughters, Betty Ann Pavlick, Arizona; Darlene Bachovin and husband, George, Philadelphia; and Patricia Bove and husband, Robert, Pardeesville; sons, Robert Thomas, New Jersey; George Wersinger and wife, Mara, McAdoo; Richard Wersinger, Sugarloaf Twp.; and Alex Wersinger and wife, Antoinette, Mountain Top; 17 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Gloria Bauder, Bethlehem; Grace Hartman, Doylestown; and Rose Solderich, Bethlehem; brothers, David Thomas, Pardeesville; and Richard Thomas, Coopersburg; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted by the Rev. Jane Hess at 11 a.m. Friday at Damiano Funeral Home, McAdoo. A calling hour will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
