Eric S. Saxon, 62, of North Port, Fla., and formerly of McAdoo, passed away Tuesday at ManorCare Sarasota after struggling with illness.
Born in Hazleton in 1958, Eric was the son of the late Stephen and Margaret Saxon.
He will be lovingly remembered by his two brothers, Stephen Saxon and wife, Sandra, Melbourne, Fla.; and Thomas Saxon and wife, Sharon, Archbald; two nieces, Rachel Ferry and husband, Kevin, Drums; and Shannon Saxon-Price and wife, Melissa, Archbald; two nephews, Christian Saxon and wife, Lisa, Chesapeake, Va.; and Ryan Saxon, Melbourne, Fla.; three great-nieces; and a great-nephew; as well as numerous extended family members and friends.
Eric was a member of St. Maximillian Kolbe Catholic Church in North Charlotte, Fla. He was a dedicated employee of PP&L following his college graduation until his retirement in 2019.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Met him in high school, our paths crossed again when we both got hired for the same company around the same time. Whether it was at work or out for a couple beers at night, he would always keep you laughing, always looking at the funny side of life. Will miss you old friend
