Francis L. Bodner

Francis L. Bodner, 88, of Spring Twp., passed away peacefully Friday, surrounded by his family.

Born in Hazleton, he was the son of the late Stephan and Anna (Nisky) Bodnar.

He was the husband of the late Rose E. Bodner. Together, they celebrated 64 years of marriage.

Frank was employed as an electrical engineer by Bell Labs for 30 years. He was a member of St. John Baptist de LaSalle Roman Catholic Church, Shillington. Frank will be remembered for his great love of traveling, collecting stamps, photography and driving BMWs.

In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by 12 brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his daughters, Donna R. Spaar, wife of Stephen, Reading; Mildredann E. Bodner Nawa, wife of John, Wyomissing; and Lorraine A. Cunningham, wife of William, Wyomissing; and nine grandchildren, Michael, Kaitlyn, Alexander, Nicholas, Alaina, Samuel, Ryan, Liam and Maddigan.

A prayer service will be held from Bednar Funeral Home, 2910 Pricetown Road, Temple, at 6 p.m. Monday. The family will receive friends and family from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Interment will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Stephen's R.C. Church Cemetery, McAdoo.
