Geraldine Forte Obituary
Geraldine "Gerry" Forte, 84, of Hazleton passed away June 28 at St. Luke's Hospice House, Bethlehem.
Born in Hazleton, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Irene (Fisher) Congelli.
Gerry worked for many years as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone. She worked as a paraprofessional for Hazleton Area High School until retirement.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Genero Jr.; infant son, Daniel; and her sister, Joanne (Ryba).
Surviving are her children, Carmen, Wilkes-Barre; Anthony, Oregon; Maria, Alburtis; sister, Patricia Fuchick, Hazleton; and several nieces and nephews.
Grandchildren include Danielle Scheschuk and her husband, Joseph, Ohio; Carmen Jr. and his wife, Tara, Florida; and Mia, Alburtis. Great-grandchildren include Delaney, Quinn, Palmer, Lennon and Noa.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Queen of Heaven Parish at Our Lady of Grace Church, Hazleton, on Aug. 8.
