Irene K. (Kapec) Yenshaw, 95, of Bethlehem died Thursday at Bethlehem Manor.
Born in Sheppton, she was the daughter of the late George and Anna (Merva) Kapec. She was married to Edmund T. Yenshaw, with whom she celebrated 71 years of marriage until his death on Dec. 16, 2019.
Irene worked for the former Western Electric, retiring after 31 years of service. She was a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church, Bethlehem. Irene was also a member of the Telephone Pioneer Club.
She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, who were also her caregivers, Steven and his wife, Cathy Yenshaw; brother, Andrew Kapec; and several nieces and nephews.
Irene was preceded in death by her daughter, Carol Ann Yenshaw; son, David E. Yenshaw; brothers, George Kapec and Joseph Kapec; and sister, Anna McGrory.
Services are private and under the guidance of Connell Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made in Irene's name to Good Shepard Manor, 4129 N, IL-1 #17, Momence, IL 60954.
