Jeanne Luise Denz, 87, of New Cumberland, Fairview Twp., went to Heaven on Tuesday in UPMC Harrisburg Hospital.
She earned her RN from Mercy Hospital, Wilkes-Barre. An avid doll collector, she enjoyed bowling, bus trips with friends, European travel, cruising, shopping, sewing and mostly, spending time with grandchildren.
She was born Aug. 8, 1937, in Hazleton, to the late Peter and Verna (Maxwell) Blumer.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Col. Ernest J. Denz; and siblings, Fred and Norbert Blumer and Emily Barno.
She is survived by her sons, Michael O'Donnell (Valerie Hite), Glen Allen, Va.; and Patrick O'Donnell, Camp Hill; grandchildren, Shannon O'Donnell, Christopher O'Donnell, and Kathleen Walls (Alex); and great-grandchildren, Tailynn, Adalind and Daniella.
A viewing will be from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday at Parthemore Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at noon in St. Theresa Roman Catholic Church, New Cumberland.
