Joseph Ralph Marsicano, 65, passed away June 2 following a time of illness. His loving wife, Jo-Anna "Joie" (Radzwilla), was by his side at their home in Fate, Texas.
Born in Hazleton, he was the son of the late Ralph and Antoinette (Marucci) Marsicano.
He is preceded in death by his older sister, Judith Carey.
In addition to his wife and their three dogs, Joseph is survived by his older brother, Mark, Sugarloaf Twp.; stepson, John Radzwilla, his wife, Natalie, and their son, Jack, Texas; cousins; and several nieces and nephews.
Joseph was a graduate of Hazleton Senior High School and Bloomsburg University, and held a successful career as an accountant. He spent many years residing in Heights Terrace, Hazleton, and Harveys Lake before moving to Texas several years ago. Joseph and his wife were devoted to caring for their three dogs and would also house rescues. Joseph had a love for all animals. His interests included listening to Neil Diamond, boating and he had a great knowledge of history.
A private service is being held in Texas.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to any no-kill animal shelter.
