June L. Blamey, 95, of Sugarloaf Twp., passed away Monday evening, March 18, 2024, in Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, following a brief illness.
Born in Sugarloaf Twp., June 7, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Oswald and Ada (Shiner) Turnbach and had spent most of her life in Sugarloaf Twp.
June graduated from the Black Creek Twp. High School, class of 1947, where she was the class valedictorian and secretary.
June was an assistant branch manager for Hazleton National Bank and Bank of America for many years. She was a member of Christ Church United Church of Christ, Conyngham. June enjoyed spending her time traveling with her husband around the U.S., especially Florida to visit relatives. Recently she had been fond of taking care of the many cats that would stop by her home.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her loving husband, John W. Blamey Jr., on April 19, 2011; and brothers, Franklin and Theodore Turnbach.
Surviving are a son, Alan Blamey and his wife, Cheryl, Tyrone, Ga.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (East), 669 West Butler Drive, Drums.
Burial will follow in Conyngham Union Cemetery.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
