Lucy Drasher, 89, of Drums passed away Friday at Fritzingertown Senior Living Community, Drums, and ended her earthly journey entering eternal life to be with Jesus Christ, her Savior and Lord.
She was born in West Hazleton, daughter of the late William and Anna Ankudovich and was a graduate of Hazle Twp. High School, Class of 1957, and continued to serve on the Reunion Committee for many years.
Lucy was retired from Cooper Industries (Tung Sol), working at both the Hazleton and Weatherly Plants.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband of 32 years, Leo Drasher; brothers; Anthony and Daniel Ankudovich; and sisters, Aldona Bayzik, Marion Witcofski, Agnes Lindeman and Regina Schreiner. She was the last surviving member of the Ankudovich family.
Lucy was a former member of Ss. Peter and Paul Lithuanian Church, Hazleton, to which she was devoted and was an active member in all church activities. Lucy was currently a member of Good Shepherd Church, Drums.
She loved music, traveling, flowers and animals, especially her Siamese cats.
Lucy is survived by her several beloved nieces and nephews.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Good Shepherd Church, Drums, with the Rev. Peter J. O'Rourke as celebrant.
Interment will follow in Ss. Peter and Paul Lithuanian Cemetery, Hazleton, beside her beloved parents.
Her public viewing will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday in Good Shepherd Church.
Hilary J. Bonin Funeral Home, 99 W. Green St., West Hazleton, is assisting the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Lucy's name may be made to Good Shepherd Church, Drums.
