Marcella M. Kuba

Marcella M. Kuba, 90, formerly of Hazleton, passed away Saturday in Geisinger Wyoming Valley.

Born in Beaver Meadows, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Baddick) Leggo and was a member of Annunciation Parish at St. Gabriel's Church, Hazleton.

Marcy worked in the local garment industry and was a former board member of the Hazleton Housing Authority. She enjoyed playing scrabble and bingo. Every Sunday she would make homemade chicken soup for her family. All of her recipes were made from scratch and she loved to bake. Family meant everything to Marcy and her grandchildren were the light of her life.

Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband, Joseph, in 2012; sisters, Rita Leggo and Florence Wojcik; and brothers, Joseph, Raymond and Martin Leggo.

Surviving are her daughters, Linda Drusda and husband, Jeffrey, Middletown, Del.; and Elaine Cussatt and husband, Gregory, Drums; son, Stephen Kuba and fiancée, Heather Mellor, Hazle Twp.; grandchildren, Kristopher Kuba, Alex and Brendan Drusda and Alyssa Cussatt; sister, Anna Daniels and husband, Emil, Beaver Meadows; brother, Robert Leggo and wife, Mary, Hazle Twp.; and several nieces and nephews.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at Annunciation Parish at St. Gabriel's Church.

Burial will be in St. Gabriel's Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday at the church.
