Mark Burkat Obituary
Mark Burkat, 57, passed away Saturday with his family by his side in Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia, after fighting a long illness.
He is survived by his father, Jerome Burkat; brother, Howard Burkat and wife, Mary Garner Burkat; sister, Ronda Jones and husband, Steve Jones; nieces, Samantha Burkat; and Hanna Jones; along with aunts uncles and cousins.
Mark was a member of the Agudas Israel Synagogue.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday from Fierro Funeral Home, Hazleton.
Interment will follow in Agudas Israel Cemetery.

It is May 18Th 2023 and I'm seeing this. Something made me think about Mark today and my feeling was right. It was over a year ago I last had contact with him when I learned he was trying to overcome his illness. I Know he loved and missed his mother who passed some time ago. He adored his niece Samantha he spoke about often and loved his brother and sister and father. You will always have that special place in my heart my dear friend, and you will truly be missed.
