Regina M. Kukol, 98, formerly of Humboldt, passed away Sunday morning at her granddaughter's residence where she resided, surrounded by her family.
She was born in Hollars Hill, daughter of the late Eugene and Mary (Hyland) Imbert.
She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Hazleton. A graduate of Hazle Twp. High School, she retired from Tung-Sol, Hazleton.
Regina was a very kind and loving, giving woman, loved to be out and meet and talk to people. She enjoyed her reading, sewing, making quilts, listening to music, baking and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph B. Kukol, in 1995; her daughter, Diane Cherasaro; sons-in-law, Gus Cherasaro and John Swantek; a grandson, Jeffrey Swantek; brother, Eugene Embert; and a sister, Catherine Michalochick. She was the last surviving member of her parents and siblings.
She is survived by her daughter, Eileen Swantek, Whitehall; four granddaughters, Jennifer (Swantek) Fitzgerald and her husband, Jeff, Hilton Head, S.C.; Stacey (Cherasaro) Tarity and her husband, John, West Hazleton, with whom she resided; Heather (Cherasaro) Sabulsky and her husband, Kevin, McAdoo; and Jill (Swantek) Kocj and her husband, Ron, Northampton; six great-grandchildren, Cassandra Sabulsky, Dyland Tarity, Noah Fitzgerald, Brandon Sabulsky, Gianna Tarity and Rowan Koch; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Holy Rosary Church.
Interment to follow in Calvary Cemetery, Drums.
Arrangements are under the direction of Frank J. Bonin Funeral Home Inc.
