Bertram Solomon Obituary
Age 98, of Webster, NY, formerly of Big Flats NY, died at St. Anne's Care Center at Cherry Ridge on Saturday afternoon, August 29, 2015. THERE WILL BE NO CALLING HOURS. A GRAVESIDE SERVICE WILL BE HELD IN FRANKLIN STREET CEMETERY ON WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 2ND @ 11:30AM. RABBI OREN STEINITZ OFFICIATING. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make donations to St. Anne's Foundation-Heritage 1500 Portland Ave Rochester, NY 14621 or to Congregation Kol Ami 1008 W. Water St Elmira, NY 14905. Bert was predeceased by Esther, his loving wife of 59 years; and grandson, Michael Hogue. He is survived by sons, Jerry (Mary) Solomon of Penfield, NY and Barry (Debra) Solomon, of Salem, OR; grandsons, Robert Solomon of Las Vegas, NV and James Solomon of Washington DC; sister, Mary Wartell; sister-in-law, Marion Solomon; and several nieces and nephews. Bert was a United States Navy Veteran Serving during WWII and he loved his country. He was a member of Congregation Kol Ami and owned the Golden Eagle Liquor Store in Big Flats, NY. www.bakerfamilyfuneralhome.com

We, at Cherry Ridge Senior Living Center, are saddened by the death of Bert. He was a well known and well loved resident here. His positive attitude toward life was commendable. Thank you for suggesting St. Ann's Foundation as a possible donation site.
