Beverly Hoskins Obituary
Elmira: Beverly E. (Allington) Hoskins, 59, of Elmira, NY, passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira surrounded by her family. Beverly was born on December 19, 1951 in Elmira, daughter of the late Thomas and Olive (Conklin) Allington. She was a homemaker who liked playing cards and bingo. Beverly was all about her family and spending time with her grandchildren. Beverly is survived by her sons: Raymond (Beth) Hoskins and Frederick Hoskins, both of Elmira, 13 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, her brother, Thomas Allington of Elmira, along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her sister, Barbara Wilkins, and her brothers, Francis and Frank Allington. Family and friends are welcome to call from 10:00-11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at the Roberts Funeral Home, Inc., 279 Main Street, Wellsburg, NY. The funeral service to honor Beverly's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 25th at the funeral home with Pastor Nathaniel Wilkins officiating. Burial will follow the funeral service in Chemung Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the account in memory of Beverly Hoskins at Visions Credit Union, 24 McKinley Avenue, Endicott, NY 13760 or by visiting any local Visions Credit Unions to help defray the costs of her grandchildren's college education.

Here It is 13 years later and there are days that I still sit here and cry there are nights that I cry myself to sleep. I can't even play FaceTime Skip-Bo or judge Judy or even watch deal or no deal or wheel of Fortune because every time I try sit here and cry it hasn't been the same without you I would never be the same without you I remember when you came home from the hospital you told us girls that is something was to happen to you that we needed to move on and let go but how do we move on and let go from someone that raised us so when there was a mother figure not just the grammar but also our biggest supporter are cheerleader our mother figure and our best friend all in one. You don't move on from somebody dying like that and I'm doing this girls had to take care of you when you aren't doing good it's hard without you yes it's been 13 years but it doesn't get any easier I remember every time as girls couldn't sleep and you would be always sitting right there by our door at the table to make sure you're okay I remember every night when we couldn't sleep you would hand us phase 10 cards or skippo cards and it has a Pepsi I'm like here let's play cards I remember every time we would get in trouble or we would argue you would tell the girls that you love us and you're not mad at us you're just upset with us it's hard without you Grandma and I wish every day that God could have tuck me and not you I love you and miss you

I miss u grandma, there isnt a day that goes by I dont think about u and wish u were still here. I miss playing skipbo and phase 10, I miss watching judge Judy with u but most of all I miss being able to say hey Grandma I need help and the hugs and kisses u used to give me when I was upset. I wish u didn't have to go when u did. I miss u grandma more than I can explain. I love u grandma. Thank u for taking me and the girls into your care and taking care of us when our parents ddidn't want to. I miss u grandma and I love u. RIP NANA

Its hard to think that someone so good as you could be taken away so fast! You are and always will be my grandma! You were there for me when no one else was to help me get thru all the rough times in life! I know that there isnt a moment thats not going to by that I wont be thinking of you! I love you so much! God got one amazing angel now flying high in the sky overlooking everything and everyone making sure its a good time! Your going to be so very missed!!

I am going to miss you Aunt Bev. I have so many memories of you and being with you when i was younger. I temember back when you used to tease you hair, and i had you do it to mine, but i wasn't happy because mine wouldn't go as high and as good as yours. I always remember you laughing. I remember when you came to visit me at my mom's after i had DJ. He was crying and you insisted it was a wet diaper cry and i kept saying it was a hungry cry....I got that one right.lol. I love you Aunt Bev, and i will alwys miss you and think about you. You are a wonderful woman, and always will be.

My deepest sympathy to the family. Bev was a great woman who loved everyone. I appreciated her for helping Cora take care of my 2 children years ago, & the long talks her & I use to have on certain situations. Very beautiful woman. She will be greatly missed.
