Donald Andrews Obituary
Donald L. Andrews, 82 of Horseheads, NY passed away on Saturday July 27, 2013 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center. He was born on March 25, 1931 in Painted Post, NY, the son of Walter and Joyce Andrews. He was a 1950s graduate of Painted Post High School. Donald and Rosalie was married on September 21, 1951 in Corning, NY. Donald was a pipe fitter for Corning Incorportrated, retiring after 42 years. He was a member of the Big Flats American Legion and the White Eagles Club of Elmira. Donald was a NY Mets, Knicks & Giants fan; he enjoyed all sports. Donald is survived by his loving wife, Rosalie Andrews of Horseheads; children, Douglas Andrews of Corning, Christine Jones of Indiana, Penny Andrews of Elmira; sister, Shirley Heckman of Florida; eight grandchildren; Paul (Kelly) Andrews, Kimberly (Mike) Zuke, Erica and Craig Jones, Lori (Ben) Cooke, Eric (Val) Andrews, Chad Domanski and Jennifer Tucker; he also had seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. He was predeceased by his parents and daughter Debra Thomas and grandson Craig. The family will receive friends at Acly-Stover Funeral Home on Monday July 29, 2013 from 12PM to 2PM. Funeral services will follow at 2PM with Robbie Ayers officiating. Interment and committal prayers will be in Coopers Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to First Care, 11751 East Corning Road, Corning, NY 14830

We love you grandpa! Sorry we could not be there but it was more important for mom to be there. I hope aunt Debbie is playing "trouble" with you. You loved playing that game with mom when she came to visit. We will all take care of grandma. Please don't worry. We will see you again.
