Dorie Robinson Obituary
Age 67, of Painted Post, NY, passed away on Monday, May 1, 2017 at the Chemung County Nursing Facility. She was born on March 21, 1950 in Mineola, Long Island to the late Albert and Dorothy (Connor) Daw. Dorie is survived by her daughter, Shannon Dickerman of Corning; brothers, Michael Daw of Groton and Mark Daw of Elmira; sisters, Suellen Durfey of Odessa, Darcy Kea of Horseheads, Nancy Fraccia of Slaterville, NY and Kelly Kiser of Erin; grandchildren, Sarah and Keri Dickerman both of Corning; along with 2 nieces and 7 nephews. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, May 4th from 1 to 3 p.m. at the James D. Barrett Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow there at 3 p.m. with Pastor Gerald Glover officiating.

Sorry to hear of Dories passing. I worked with her at the Erwin Plant many years ago. She had such a boisterous personality that made her presence known and made you laugh. We would see each other every few years unexpectedly and talked like no time had passed in between encounters. Prayers and thoughts of you, Dorie.

To Dorie's Family,
So very sorry to hear of Dorie's passing. I have many good memories of meeting Dorie and speaking with her on the phone in connection with STLS. Many times we shared a good laugh and a good joke. My heart is heavy with the loss of a such a dear, compassionate, and loving person. My prayers and support to her entire family.

RIP my friend. So many teenage memories with Dorie. I think most of the kids in the Heights hung out at her house. We were a wild bunch. I am so glad I got to see her last year when she came to our lunch last December. She reminded me of a time she cut my hair so short and I got so mad at her. Miss you Dorie. Fly angle fly.

I never worked directly with Dorie, but knew her in passing by. She always took the time to cheerfully say hi and flash that beautiful smile which somehow made working at Erwin a little brighter. We have surely lost a beautiful soul and you will be missed greatly, Dorie...RIP, sweet lady!
