Francis Woidzik Obituary

73, of Schenectady, NY, passed away Thursday, September 23, 2010. Born in Kingston, PA, on November 8, 1936, he was the son of the late Frank and Sophia Woidzik of Elmira. Francis graduated from Thomas A. Edison High School in Elmira Heights in 1954. He was inducted into the Metro Elmira Sports Hall of Fame and the Section 4 Hall of Fame. He also received a Master of Science in Education from Elmira College. Francis is survived by his four sons, Frank, Joseph, Christopher and Michael; his sister, Dorothea M. Watts; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Those wishing may attend a graveside service on Thursday, September 30, at 1 p.m. in Sts. Peter and Paul's Cemetery in Elmira. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Kalec Funeral Home.
