BROCKWAY, George D.

Age 51, of Pine Valley, NY, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, May 5, 2012 at his home. George was born on November 21, 1960 in Elmira, son of Franklin and Ann (Peters) Brockway. George was a self-employed contractor for many years in the Elmira area. He was a hard worker and had a heart of gold. He loved his children and family very much. He will be missed dearly. George is survived by his wife, Denise Brockway; daughter, Fancy Brockway; sons, Franklin and George Jr. Brockway; mother, Ann Harkness; step father, David Harkness; sisters, Tina Brockway Hoose and Joanne Harkness; brothers, Frank (Bonnie) Brockway, Daniel Brockway and Rex Peters; step brother, Kenny Harkness; nieces, Tara Hoose, Gypsy Early, Charlie Peters, Virginia Peters, Susan Brockway and Shelby Poarch; nephews, Rockie Hoose Bobby Hoose, Blaze Brockway, Jesse James Early and Robbie (Michelle) Pettitt; aunt, Ruth and uncle Dan and several aunts and uncles; 6 great nieces and 4 great nephews and lots of cousins. George is predeceased by his daughter, Annie; father, Franklin; sisters, Tammy Peters and Susan Brockway; grandparents, Rex and Celia Peters and Kenneth and Virginia Brockway. Family and friends are invited to call Friday, May 11, 2012 from 1 to 2 p.m. at the James D. Barrett Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
