Helen Serdula Frey

Helen Serdula Frey, 78 years, of 9965 East Lake Rd., Hammondsport, NY died Sunday, January 23, 2011, at the Arnot Ogden Hospital following a brief illness. Surviving are her husband, Richard J. "Dick" Frey; son, Stephen S. Frey of Richmond, VA; daughters, Rosemary (Roe) Frey (Dr. William) Huffner of Elmira, Patty Frey (Ross) Cavallaro of Corning, Martha Frey (Kevin) Hart of Birmingham, MI and Caye Frey (Tom) Grimaldi of Corning; grandchildren, Matthew, Thomas, Stephanie and Michael Huffner, Ryan and Caitlin Cavallaro, Brendan, Jenna and Conor Hart and Devin, David, Kyle and Christoper Grimaldi. Helen was predeceased by grandson, Rossy Cavallaro III; brothers, Charlie, Stephen, John, George Serdula; and sisters, Anna Lee and Sue Schilberger. Friends may call at the Haughey Funeral Home, 216 E. First St., Corning on Friday, January 28, 2011, from 4-8 p.m. A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home Saturday, January 29, 2011, at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m., at St. Mary's Church, Corning. Committal prayers and interment will be at the family plot in St. Mary's Cemetery, Corning.
