Weller, Helen E. (Hollenbeck)

Helen E. (Hollenbeck) Weller, a long time resident of Horseheads, NY, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday evening, July 9, 2015. Helen was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Lawrence R. Weller, Jr.; son, Gail A. Weller; sons-in-law, Michael M. Main and David Welty. Surviving is a baseball team of kids: Delores A. Welty, Sherry A. Main, Arnold W. and wife, Mary, Darrell R., Darwin R. and wife, Pam, Anthony N., Gabriel D., Wayne T., Helen E. Statton and husband, Leroy, Delia T.; and daughter-in-law, Connie (Walker) Weller. A gaggle of grandchildren: Seminole (Welty) Kimbel, Nomia (Welty) Jewett, Jennifer and husband, Walter Granger, Joseph Weller, Jamie Weller, Christian Weller, Samantha Weller, Kenneth Weller, Kayle Weller, Katherine and Louann Statton. The flock includes 11 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and a multitude of "extended family" members that were welcomed into her home and heart. She was able to meet the most recent addition to the family, baby, Emile Sara Rose Hillman. It was our strong willed and fiercely independent mother's wish to remain at home; therefore a special thank you is extended to CareFirst and Meals on Wheels for helping to make it possible. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home, Inc., 413 S. Main St., Horseheads, on Thursday, July 16, 2015, from 6-8:00 pm and again on Friday, July 17, 2015, from 11:00 am-12:00 noon. Her service will follow there at the funeral home at 12:00 noon.
